This 160 cubic inch handcrafted cremation urn uncovers the story of hidden beauty—crafted from wood once concealed inside the structure of century-old pianos. At its heart is English Walnut Birdseye wood, a remarkably rare material salvaged from the interior top board of a 1910 upright piano. In piano manufacturing of the early 1900s, internal components were often made from unassuming woods that are now highly sought-after treasures. The body of the urn is bordered with Black Walnut recovered from a 1921 piano, and each side features a striking English Walnut Burl inlay from an 1890 British-manufactured piano. The top is made from authentic Spruce soundboard wood, the same material once responsible for producing rich piano tones. This urn is finished in high gloss, allowing the natural tones, textures, and grain patterns to shine—untouched by stains or dyes. A truly unique tribute piece that brings together musical history, fine and timeless design.
